Politician JM Kariuki’s kin grieve the mysterious death of a loved one in the US
The family of former Nyandarua MP Josiah Mwangi Kariuki is mourning the death of their kin.
Ms Darcy Mwikali Mbaabu, who is the granddaughter of the late politician – who was assassinated and his body dumped in a thicket within Kajiado County – died in unclear circumstances while asleep in her house.
Speaking to Nairobi News her mother Ms Jane Kariuki, said that her daughter died on the night of Tuesday, January 17, while she was out with friends.
“My daughter slept and did not wake up. Currently, they are running toxicology tests to find out what caused her death,” she told this reporter on the phone from the United States of America.

It has emerged that police officers are waiting for the report to kick off their investigations on what might have led to her death.
The deceased, a mother of one, was born in Kenya before she left for the USA when her mother relocated.
Currently, her body is at O’Connor Funeral Home in Laguna Hills Mortuary, Orange County, California.
The deceased died while aged 32, and the family is planning to cremate her body.
“Her ashes will be brought home and sprinkled by her grandfather’s and grandmother’s resting place.”
Ms Mbaabu has lived in Orange County of, California in the USA, since she was six years old, and she worked as a tax consultant.
Nairobi News has also garnered information that she was also a nurse by profession.

Her death occurred just a month after the man who discovered her grandfather’s body was laid to rest in Olosho Oibor village in Kajiado West Sub-County.
The man was identified as Mr Musaite Ole Tunta, who died aged 109, is the popular herder who discovered the body of the President Jomo Kenyatta-era firebrand politician Josiah Mwangi Kariuki, popularly referred to as JM Kariuki, after his alleged assassination.
A number of family, friends and relatives shared their condolence messages.
They include; Reina Ray said, “My deepest condolence to the whole family you are in my prayers. I just want to say that she was an amazing person. She always made me laugh, she will be missed.”
Juliet Jones said, “Poleni sana to the family.”
Erin Brandy said, “You were one of the best humans I have ever known. I will carry you with me forever. I love you and I miss you more. Rest in Power.”
