‘Scars of birth brought beauty within me,’ Habida shows off stretchmarks
Habida Moloney, an award-winning singer, has reaffirmed that women have the power to dictate who they are and not let other people or life events determine them.
In a post on Instagram captioned “I am a woman”, Habida detailed women’s struggles, especially before and after pregnancy, saying it makes them strong.
The MTV award-winner also urged women to speak life in their lives, quoting that life and death lie in the power of the tongue.
“I am a woman. This means I am strong. This means I have scars, which means I have to fight harder than anyone else. This means I overcome, this means no one hands me anything, but everyone thinks and has assumptions that I’ve got it easy. But through it all, I still have the power to dictate who I am,” she wrote.
“The scars I gained through birth had me in years of postpartum depression. I share today as I chose to look at them as beautiful…. it marks the day I was blessed to bring into the world the most beautiful people in the world.”

In 2020, the Kesho hitmaker shared that she was yet to determine if she had cancer after developing a lump in her breast.
While the medical tests came back negative, the singer took to Instagram and said that she had had moments of fear, faith, and moments of crying for fear of death and leaving her children.
“I’ve got my result! And it’s a fantastic ‘negative’ result for cancer! I have had moments of fear, moments of faith, crying moments at the thought of death because of my children, and then moments of confidence that God can do all things! I realised that it’s only in moments of crisis do we prepare!”
