TV girl Lulu Hassan has been named among the 50 most influential Chief Executive Officers  (CEO) in Kenya.

The news anchor’s Jifft Pictures was recognised in the category of Arts, Technology and Creatives.

Jiffy Pictures is a Kenyan production house responsible for many of the popular Swahili telenovelas aired in East Africa.

These include Sultana which is aired on Citizen TV and Huba on Maisha Magic Bongo.

Huba is a great example of Jiffy’s reach beyond Kenya’s borders as it continues to be popular in Tanzania, sparking online chatter in the country with each new episode.

The production house is behind several other hit telenovelas including Maria, Zora, Maza, and Kovu – all of which had successful runs on TV and racked up various awards.

The shows which have been produced by Lulu Hassan and his husband Rashid Abdalla who also is a media personality, have helped shine light on several talented actors and actresses while helping grow Kenya’s creative industry.

Rashid took to his Instagram page to congratulate her wife stating, “Mtu wangu @loulou_hassan umetisha mno. Hakika una kila sababu ya kuheshimishwa. Hongera sana unapozidi kuzindua na kujenga vipaji Afrika Mashariki (You have really done great my person @loulou_hassan. You certainly have every reason to be admired. Congratulations as you continue to launch and build talent in East Africa.”

Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla are one of the most admired celebrity couples in Kenya largely because of how they have managed to steer clear of controversies and scandals that have surrounded other marriages of famous people.

Rashid and Lulu have been anchoring news together for the past five years, since July 22, 2018.
