Uhuru’s unga yet to reach parts of the country
The price of maize flour remains high in some parts of the country that are yet to get supplies of the government subsidised flour.
The government last week unveiled subsidized maize flour that are to retailat sh90 for a two kilogramme packet and sh47 for a one kilogramme packet.
Makueni county residents are yet to see the subsidized maize flour that is pocket friendly. In Wote town, retailers say the subsidized maize flour had not been delivered despite them placing their orders.
There are also pockets in Nairobi county yet to receive the subsidized flour. Residents have to walk to major centres that supermarkets that are selling the flour.
