Aden Duale puts Kemsa ‘scandal’ suspects on notice

Garissa Township lawmaker Aden Duale claims President William Ruto has achieved more in office in one month than his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta managed in two years.

The MP, who is the Defence Cabinet Secretary nominee, made the bullish statement during an address in Parliament. He added President Ruto’s government had already changed the lives of Kenyans.

“What President Ruto has done in 30 days, other presidents cannot manage in two years,” said Duale.

He stopped short of substantiating.

Duale has also put on notice suspects adversely mentioned in the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA).

“Watch his space. If you were involved in Kemsa. If you have a file, whether you belong to Kenya Kwanza, whether you belong to the opposition.”

Duale also said President Ruto could break the record as the best-performing president of Kenya or at the very least be at the same level as former president Mwai Kibaki.

“William Ruto would be either like President Mwai Kibaki who left us with a debt of Sh1.8 trillion, or he would be better.”

“We have a young and sober president. A president who only drinks tea like me.”

The MP urged the opposition side to judge the president fairly and to give him time to deliver the promises that he made to Kenyans.
