Chebet Ronoh updates fans on mental therapy session after dissing celebs

Popular Kenyan TikTok content creator Chebet Ronoh has updated her followers on how her latest mental therapy session went after having to begin therapy following a ‘Twitter meltdown’.

Last month, Ronoh dissed and called out several Kenyan celebrities in several viral posts and at the peak of garnering thousands of retweets and comments, she announced she was going on a social media break and thinking about going for therapy.

On Monday, she uploaded a video where she gave an update on how her first therapy session went. Ronoh was of the opinion that the doctor fixed her brain because very few people in her life are able to make her view things in life differently.

At first, Ronoh struggled to describe herself to her doctor because he said she could not mention her gender and her achievements among other things, making her wonder if she knew anything about herself.

She found it strange that the doctor asked her how her day had been and how she’d woken up before he asked her what brought her to his office on that day.

“I never really know what to say when asked this question. Where would I start? ‘Would you like to know about when they started bullying me in class four?’ I had to open up and tell him that I had this consistent need to die no matter how good my life is or how balanced I am. There is just this one creeping thought of ‘I don’t want to be here like at all’. They get louder every time there is a minor inconvenience or when I make a mistake. Am too scared to do it though but in the right conditions…” said Ronoh.

She also told her doctor that she has a substance abuse problem that tends to take over in the moment.

“Then he says to me ‘If you succeed in this killing yourself or you dying, what does that solve?’ I’m like yes, probably my family members will feel bad but as for me, my ending my suffering stops. I don’t have to feel, you know….He says ‘there is no suffering that stops, it only continues’” Ronoh added.

The doctor was able to talk her through understanding that there is no person on earth who has never made a mistake and asked her why she put so much pressure on herself to the point of wishing for death. He counseled her that it was important to embrace all human experiences and loving one self regardless of the things she has done.

Ronoh revealed this as balancing tears became visible in her eyes.

Prior to taking a short social media break, she had Kenyans on Twitter camping on her page earlier this month as she called out several influencers for copying her including Elsa Majimbo and Kate Actress; as well as called out singer Nikita Kering for bullying her and sending her into depression.

She also revealed celebrity secrets about who was dating who as well as claimed there was beef between herself and influencer Shorn Arwa and Kamene Goro among others.
