Exclusive: How Samidoh has stepped up to support his family in the US
Following a recent visit to the United States by the Mugithi maestro, Samidoh, it has come to light that the singer is actively involved in supporting his children despite the complexities of his relationship with ex-wife Edday Nderitu.
Samidoh, born Samuel Muchoki, is the former husband of Edday Nderitu, who relocated to Massachusetts in May 2023 amidst their strained marriage, triggered by Samidoh’s affair with nominated Senator Karen.
The couple, married for 15 years, faced a turbulent period in early 2023 when Edday issued a warning of a potential end to their marriage.

Approximately a year after Edday and her three children moved to the US, it has been revealed that Samidoh is providing financial support for the kids.
An anonymous source, well-acquainted with Edday, disclosed to Nairobi News that Samidoh recently initiated support for his children.
The source revealed, “Samidoh has a Dollar account, and he issued a credit card to the children, which they use for shopping in the US.”
The source commended Samidoh, known for hits like ‘Kairitu Gakwa’ and ‘My Daughter,’ stating, “He is financially capable and a responsible father. We are proud of him, as he has not abandoned the children.”
Despite the tumultuous past, the source clarified that Edday had not denied Samidoh the opportunity to communicate with his children.
“Samidoh and the children talk, no matter how difficult the situation is,” the source added.
During his recent visit to the States, photos of Samidoh with his children surfaced, indicating a positive engagement between the artist and his offspring.

The source explained, “He recently secretly started supporting the children after realising Edday is smart and sharp; she did not deny him talking to his children. Whenever they go to a supermarket, they use the father’s credit card to shop.”
Supporters of Samidoh’s “goat wife,” Edday, have been rejoicing after spotting the Kenyan artist driving her car during his holiday in Boston.
Samidoh, who is currently in the United States spending time with his first wife Edday, and their three children, shared a TikTok video showcasing the couple’s moments together.
Eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice that the car Samidoh was driving closely resembled the one Edday had shared in a previous post a few weeks ago.
This led to an outpour of excitement from followers.
Edday, based in Massachusetts Boston, has been active on social media, particularly on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, where she enjoys a substantial following.
Contrary to earlier statements, Edday has not prevented Samidoh from meeting his children. The source shared, “Edday and the kids talk, no matter how difficult the situation is.”
Edday started working in the US last year, 2023, and reportedly, she is servicing a mortgage.
