Exclusive: Why I don’t have househelps – Size 8
Gospel singer Size 8 has recently revealed her decision to personally raise her two children alongside her husband DJ Mo, underlining a shift towards prioritising their family life.
In an interview with Nairobi News, the mother-of-two revealed that she has decided to take a more hands-on approach to parenting by becoming a daybug house manager.
This comes after DJ Mo revealed that they have hired three house managers.
“Our house manager is a teacher with a diploma. We have three house helps. One for cleaning, one for the kids, and a day bug. The one who stays with them teaches them English,” DJ Mo told Nairobi News in a past interview.

Now, that has all changed. While she didn’t go into so much detail about the decision, Size 8 emphasised her desire to be actively involved in her children’s lives.
“Despite my busy schedule, I have taken on all of the responsibilities of being with my children, which include cooking for them and being with them most of the time,” she said.
Size 8 further elaborated on the positive impact of being fully present in her children’s lives, noting her joint commitment with DJ Mo to play a role in their upbringing.
She revealed that while they seek help with household chores, they prioritise direct involvement with their children.
“Yes, we don’t have a permanent nanny now. They only come and go when we are not around and we need someone to be with the kids,” she said.
Meanwhile, DJ Mo and Size 8’s reality series ‘Love in the Wild’ premiered on February 11 on TV47, inviting viewers to embark on an adventurous journey exploring love and resilience.
The show, which airs every Sunday at 8 pm, follows the couple as they face exciting challenges that test not only their mettle but also their bond.
“Join us as we take you through thrilling outdoor challenges and extract stories of love and resilience,” the couple invited their audience.

When asked about juggling the demands of filming the show with other responsibilities, Size 8 emphasised the importance of good time management and discipline.
“You have to have good time management and be disciplined. That’s why you don’t see me everywhere. You have to push so much because I have other businesses out there. I am also an evangelist with so many responsibilities in the church,” she explained.
Size 8 also explained the symbolic significance of the show’s title, ‘Love in the Wild’.
“The name ‘Love in the Wild’ symbolises the challenges that couples face in the wild, mirroring the trials and tribulations of modern relationships. Despite the odds, love thrives, just as creatures thrive in the wild,” she explained.
