Hardest goodbye! Ciru Muriuki’s continues to publicly mourn fiancé Charles Ouda


Media personality Ciru Muriuki continues to mourn her fallen fiance Charles J. Ouda, a month after his passing.

In an emotional social media post, Ciru shared a lovely photo of herself with Charlie, accompanied by a deeply emotional message, reflecting on the pain of living without him for the past month.

“One month without you. One month of pain I didn’t think was possible. You were my favourite hello and my hardest goodbye. But there can never be goodbyes between us. Just the longing to see you again. My life will forever be better because you were in it. I love you Ceej. Forever and always,” Ciru expressed.

Jacque Matubia, Charli’s on-screen partner, also paid tribute to him, recalling their last moments together during the Salem TV show’s final scenes.

“Happy one month in heaven my G. I think this past week I have shouted your name so many times. Am sorry for that. I know you were like ‘chill mama’ but yap, I did the thing. Am not waiting for a seat at their table am building my own table…in your words…’It’s not their industry but our industry’ C.J.O. Forever on our hearts,” Matubia wrote.

The devastating news of Charles Ouda’s passing was initially announced by fellow actor Mkamzee Mwatela, alongside a statement from Ciru Muriuki and the Ouda family, confirming the tragic loss.

“It is with deep sorrow that the family of Charles ‘Charlie’ J. Ouda and Ciru Muriuki inform you of his passing on the night of 3rd February 2024.”

Charles’ body was cremated at the Kariokor cemetery on February 15, leaving behind a legacy of talent and love that will forever be cherished by his loved ones and fans alike.

Charli had done his rounds on stage, performing in over 15 plays and 7 musicals around the world.

His theatre credits include ‘Boy Gets Girl’ (playing Tony), ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ (playing Joseph), ‘Balm in Gilead’ (playing Fick), Andrew Lippa’s ‘Wild Party’ as well as  Makutano Junction where he starred in over 12 seasons, and wrote numerous episodes for the show.
