Kamene Goro’s reaction after Sheila Kwamboka was hired to replace her
Kamene Goro explained her reaction after she learned Kwambox would replace her at Kiss FM.
Speaking minutes after she left her radio job at Kiss FM, Kamene said Kwamboka is equally talented.
“Sheila is a great host, and I am sure she will do a great job. I wish her all the best,” Kamene said, adding that the news of her joining the company did not shock her.
“I wasn’t shocked because I had been told by a friend before the leak happened. We had already finalized everything about my leaving.”

Kamene said working on Kiss FM was a dream come true but also challenging.
“It has been great. I want people to know that radio is not easy as many think. I have grown a lot, and it has taught me a lot about my craft and my brand,” she said.
She said the highlight was interacting with millions of Kenyans every morning.
“To me that has been the most remarkable thing,” she said.
Speaking about the challenges, Kamene said moving to mainstream media takes alot of time.
“Early morning waking up and not being able to sleep enough coz sometimes you are just from gigs to the studio. It has been very tiring and it can give you mad fatigue but it has been worth it.”
