Konshens and Latoya welcome second child amid ‘separation’ rumours
Jamaican dancehall artiste Garfield Spence, better known by the stage name Konshens, has welcomed his second child together with his wife Latoya Spence (née Wright).
The Pay for It singer introduced his newborn baby, who appears to be at least a few weeks old, to his Instagram followers on Tuesday with the caption, “Say wsup Zayn.” The proud father followed up the post with another clip and a photo with Lil Duval’s track Smile attached.
This comes at a time when the dancehall artiste’s fans are still speculating the current status of the couple as they have from time and time again raised eyebrows on social media with their on and off union.
In 2019, Latoya, who shares a son with the Dancehall sensation, said she was single although they seemed to reconcile later on that year. They again declared a split in 2020. At that time the couple had only been married three years.
Konshens, together with his on-and-off wife tied the knot on November 19, 2017, at the Fort Lauderdale Marriot Harbour Beach Resort and Spa in Florida. Their son, Liam, is about 6 years old and Konshens also has a teenage daughter from a previous relationship.
News that Latoya was expecting her second child first hit the media a few months back, after she was listed as a missing person by the Miami Police Department.
Konshens, 37, later confirmed that she was safe and recovering from an accident. While thanking fans for their concerns, he had also asked for some privacy.
“Many thanks for all the calls and prayers. She is now in recovery with no serious injuries. Give thanks,” he said. “This is a tuff time for our family and I will appreciate all the privacy we can get at this time,” he added.
Following the ordeal, Latoyashared photos of herself with her baby bump. Latoya is a businesswoman based in the Miami area, while Konshens spent the last few weeks hosting a series of shows for his Red Reign tour.
