List of 33 Chief Officers named by Governor Sakaja
The Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja has put in place his entire team before the year comes to an end.
On Tuesday 13, the governor forwarded the names of 33 persons nominated for the approval for appointment as Chief Officers for various county government sectors.
Those elected to serve have been picked from different parts of the county, but also the former Mombasa County Chief Officer for Tourism Ms Asha Abdi has been appointed.

6. Victor Otieno Ogolla – Digital Economy and Start Ups
7. Tirus Wainaina Njoroge – Smart Nairobi
8. Ahmed Mohammed Abdai – ECDE and Vocational Training

Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Kennedy Ng’ondi directed the Sectorial Committees for consideration.
“Due to the urgency of this matter, the Committees are directed to hold their approvals hearings on December 22, 2022 and thereafter table their reports as soon as possible for consideration by the House,” Speaker Ng’ondi said.
The naming of the Chief Officers comes barely a week after the County Executive Committee Members were sworn into office.
At the same time, the MCAs adjourned for a long recess and will resume sittings on February 14, 2023.
