TV journalist Laban Cliff celebrates wife on Valentine’s Day
Don’t believe that wind-swept rom-com, relationships take some effort.
That means building some habits and avoiding others. Laban Cliff, a former news anchor and now a renowned master of ceremony for more than a decade, has revealed what has kept their romance going on five years after they tied the knot.
As couples celebrate the yearly appointment with St Valentine, a day to celebrate love Cliff listed five things that he says have seen their love life blossom.
“Helped by our counsellors we have identified these pillars to be our guiding anchors in the journey of love and parenting of our handsome boys, Layson and Layton not forgetting Princess Labella.”
He says the five include faith, finances, friendship, fitness, and family.
According to Cliff, family and friends keep asking them the same question, “How is marriage?” “I often get this from my friends who’d like to “take the plunge” Well, there are no direct formulae and I thank God for leading Laura and I,” he says.
Adding that she doesn’t like it when he prescribes any advice as regards love.
The former NTV business anchor said ‘I Do’ to his long-term girlfriend, Laura Damaris in a colourful ceremony, which was attended by media personalities and the who is who in society.
The wedding was held at Nairobi Primary School in 2018 and in attendance were media personalities Georgie Ndirangu, Victoria Rubadiri, Trevor Ombija, and the then State House chief of staff Nzioka Waita among others.
He took to social media to announce his big day writing, “The day I say ‘I do’, as I land on the 3rd Floor. Thank you God.”
The two have three children together.
