President William Ruto’s daughter Charlene Ruto has showcased her football skills by saying she was a goalkeeper during her high school day matches.

In a video, Charlene, who is wearing white sports shoes, is kicking the ball on a football court in Morocco.

“I was a goalkeeper during high school matches and I believe sporting activities are great avenues for youth to showcase their agility & ability to manouver through different huddles that life presents. I enjoyed a light moment at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé Morocco,” she said.

Charlene flew out of the country to attend the MEDays Forum in Tangier, Morocco. She amused listeners at the forum when she took to the stage to champion her father’s bottom-up economic model.

Charlene appealed to African leaders to invest in sustainable strategies for the next generation through creating better outcomes for children and youth will kick start the pan-African dream of realizing shared prosperity for all.

“Restoring higher levels of pan-African social mobility will be among the most important political, social and economic challenges. The longer we wait to address the issue, the more tumultuous our politics will become,” she explained.

The 14th edition of the MEDays ran from November 02-05 in Tangier, Morocco, and brought together leaders from across the globe.

The third-born of the Head of State has been keen on popularising the dad to a younger audience and lending a hand to her father in leadership.

Before she went to Morocco, Charlene had visited Isiolo, Embu, Kirinyaga, and Kitui counties in a week.

Her tours have been attributed to the support she accorded Dr. Ruto while he was campaigning for the presidential seat.

While at Isiolo, Charlene hinted at commencing tree planting come December.  “A tree planting exercise shall be conducted come December along with another follow up engagement with various stakeholders,” she tweeted after sharing photos of her meeting with the officials.

This is another of President Ruto’s projects. During Mashujaa’s day, he urged Kenyans to plant more trees, saying that was the only way to combat the adverse effects of climate change and the severe drought currently ravaging various parts of the country.
