Mason wins Sh15 million of SportPesa midweek Jackpot
It is a happy Jamhuri Day for mason Kevin Makokha after he received Ksh15,003,352 from SportPesa for winning its mid-week Jackpot on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
Makokha, a resident of Chokaa Estate along Kangundo Road, said the win was miraculous following the equalizer at minute 101 by the Netherlands in their World Cup game against Argentina.
He had predicted a draw for the match.
Argentina went on to win on post-match penalties sealing their slot in the semi-finals.
“I play multi bets mostly, but the SportPesa jackpot bonuses drew me to this. I was not even aiming for the jackpot I was just content even getting the good bonuses, I am glad that I won the overall amount,” said Makokha.
He becomes the sixth SportPesa Midweek jackpot winner in 2022. In October, John Muriu won Ksh38,792,902 SportPesa Midweek jackpot.
Makokha whose favourite team in the World Cup, Brazil was bundled out of the tournament, said the miraculous equalizer by Netherlands (the 13th game of last week’s Midweek jackpot) was a prayer answered after many years of being a SportPesa customer.
“I had gotten all the previous predictions right and while watching that match I began to lose hope on winning, so I set my eyes on bonuses which by this point I had secured,” he recounted.
The latest winner says he has now shifted his support to France in the World Cup hoping the reigning champions will retain the trophy.
SportPesa are among the most popular gaming firms in Kenya, known for their sponsorship partnerships with football side Gor Mahia and the Kenya Rugby Sevens team.
