Rapper Lil Maina mourning loss of his grandpa who appeared in his video
Kishash hitmaker and content creator Jeremy Maina better known by the stage name Lil Maina in mourning following the passing on of his grandfather who made him famous.
Maina and his grandfather became famous on TikTok and Instagram for their funny comedy bits and stunts.
The singer announced the death in an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday morning, in which he thanked him for his support.

“I don’t know what to say, babu, I will always love you in my heart. It is not the same without you, it will never be. Thank you for making me who I am today… Till we meet again. I never wanted to post about anything about this, but I thought it would be good for you guys to know about this, but I thought it would be good for you guys to know,” the rapper wrote.
Lil Maina rose to fame doing a variety of skits that prominently feature his grandparents. Videos of Maina pranking them went viral at the height of the pandemic, garnering him thousands of fans.
He also became famous after his song Kishash which he features his grandfather in the video and raps about intimacy in the back of Ubers, teenage depression, and smoking weed.

In a past interview with Sunday Nation, Maina credited his talent to his maternal family.
He noted that he started posting in 2018 but didn’t imagine that the videos would gain wide traction across the country as well as internationally.
His social media pages capture several videos in which he pulls pranks on his grandparents and hilariously goofs off.
In one of the video clips, he can be seen vigorously dancing to a Jamaican song in front of his grandmother who seemed unperturbed. His videos gained wide traction across social media platforms.
