Twitter suspends Kanye West, again!

American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was on December 2, 2022, suspended from the social media platform Twitter. International media reported that Twitter’s new Chief, Elon Musk, cited “incitement to violence” as the reason for Kanye’s suspension.

Kanye West has been on a rollercoaster of suspensions from various social media platforms for posting explosive and vulgar posts. Hours before his suspension, Kanye had posted a logo that had the lines of the Nazi swastika in the middle of it.

He captioned the logo as “YE24”, possibly his logo for his 2024 presidential run in the United States of America.

In another Twitter post, he uploaded a photograph of American professional basketball player Chris Paul and alleged he caught the sportsman with Kim Kardashian, his ex-wife.

He posted this photo after he and Kardashian finalized their divorce.

“Let’s break one last window before we get outa here…I caught this guy with Kim. Goodnight,” West captioned the photo of Chris Paul.

West’s suspension from Twitter elicited mixed reactions as many thought that with Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, free speech would rule the day compared to the previous Twitter management’s penchant for censoring people’s social media posts.

“But freedom of speech!?” asked Cryptopunk.

“Kanye West should not be on Twitter, but in a mental hospital,” added Wolf.

“Anti-semitism is not welcome in my books. Glad Elon agrees but it took him a while,” said Justin Vung.

“Freedom of speech cannot be unlimited,” added Rocco Antognoni.

Nairobi News previously reported that Kanye West was in the past quoted saying controversial and anti-semitic things on Instagram and Twitter that saw him suspended from both platforms.

He claimed that Jews controlled American rapper Sean Combs alias Diddy and claimed he would go DEFCON 3 on Jewish people.

Hours after returning to Twitter in October 2022 and being welcomed by Elon Musk, Kanye was immediately suspended for furthering his hate speck on the platform after being suspended from Instagram.

“The funny thing is I actually can’t be anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jew. Also, you guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone, whoever opposes your agenda,” West said in one of his posts.

West has been known to use his social media accounts to post anti-Semitic sentiments and bully his estranged wife (now ex) and expose their private matters to the world.

Many claimed Kanye West could be having a psychotic break, but no proof has ever been provided.

West’s statements rubbed Americans and his fans the wrong way, as many called for his phone to be taken away.
