Abel Mutua warns ladies against drivers who change cars like boxers

Kenyan actor/director Abel Mutua warned people to be wary of people who changed cars as if they are changing boxers- especially if they are younger and lead flashy lifestyles.

In his TikTok video message to the youth, the actor noted that there was an increase in the number of young people- especially men- who were driving around expensive vehicles but no one could connect the dots to see how this driver could afford to purchase the big engine car.

“Let me tell you, Wakurugenzi, and I’m not blowing my own trumpet but the day you will see me driving a big car out there, you will know live that Mkurugenzi works, he acts in films that air on television, you’ve seen him do advertisements here and there; and sometimes, his fans fundraise for him through a mobile money till number that he owns. So you would be able to tell where that car came from,” began Mutua.

He went on, “that one, he doesn’t own a company, you don’t have anything but you’re living such a life out there that has left us wondering ‘where is he getting money from?’ Ok. Young, pretty girls are out here being confused by these men very badly.

Somebody is exchanging cars like boxers every day- different cars every day and you think ‘this is it!’ but then that person is a pharmacist (slang for a person who peddles illegal drugs). Yo! Let us be very careful.

These days- let me tell you and this is something I have noticed with the generation that is here right now. They don’t respect the process,” added Mutua.

The process Mr Mutua is talking about is that effort and energy a person puts into working hard to achieve a goal by the sweat of his brow, not through quick cash earning schemes or participating in illegal activities.

He concluded by saying that the quickest way for one to give up is by comparing their journey to others.

With the increasing popularity of the soft lifestyle and showing it off on social media, many young people are going to extremes to get money and YOLO.

In addition to ‘pharmacy’, others are now turning to scouting for sugar daddies and mummies, seducing wealthy/rich married people, joining adult websites with premium subscription fees or posting adult content on social media and including a mobile number where tips can be sent.
