Tems is first Nigerian artiste nominated for an Oscar – Full 2023 list
Nigerian songstress Temilade Openiyi alias Tems made history after being listed as the first Nigerian artiste to bag an Oscar nomination.
The singer achieved such a milestone for her work on Rihanna’s song ‘Lift Me Up’ from the Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
It’s the latest accolade for the singer-songwriter, who has recently been shortlisted for a Golden Globe and Grammy Award.
This time around it’s her writing that’s up for an award, along with Ryan Coogler and Rihanna.
