Valentine’s fever? Ruth Matete hints at remarrying soon
Gospel singer and Pastor Ruth Matete, on February 14, 2023, hinted that she would soon be remarrying.
She posted a photo of herself on Instagram dressed in a stunning trumpet, sweetheart neckline wedding dress made of lace, beads, and silk.
She paired this look with a bouquet of white roses, red nail tips; and hair and makeup to match a bridal look.

“Valentine’s Day will never be the same 🥰. Fam, I almost got married 😜. I had everything. The only thing missing was a groom🙈. Anyway, for those of you who will get engagement rings today, look no further for that classy wedding gown. Some of us the only ring we may get today is a ring light to keep creating content. God when? 😢,” Miss Matete captioned the photo.
While it was an advertisement for the company that made the dress, it was in the comment section that it appeared the Valentine’s Day fever had caught up with Ruth Matete as she intimated to her 107k fans that she would soon be remarrying.
“Groom appear now 🔥😍,” said Faith Esther 18 to which Ruth responded by saying, “@faith_esther18 This one will appear soon. In Jesus name!”
“That gown is eeeeverything 🔥🔥🔥 may God grant you a good husband soooon❤️,” said Gloria Fondo to which Ruth responded by saying, “Thank you dear. Amen amen.”
Many of her followers wished her luck and love in finding a husband following the tragic death of her husband, Pastor Beloved John Apewajoye, in 2020.

He died after a gas tank they had purchased turned out to be faulty. As he attempted to fix it to the cooker and later light the burner, the tank caught fire and he was set on fire due to all the gas that had leaked in the kitchen. He was rushed to hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit but he succumbed days later.
Three years later, Ruth Matete severally intimated that she was ready to move on, marry, and have more children to give her daughter siblings.
“I don’t want young men. I want older men. I am not a child and I will be 37 next year. I need someone who understands…when you come, you know what you have come to do.” Matete said as she spoke of the man who will be her husband.
These sentiments came after she was quoted saying it would take her two years after her husband’s death before she would think of being in a relationship with another man.
