Is Diamond Platinumz’ ex, Jokate Mwegelo, pregnant?
Jokate Mwegelo, a Tanzanian politician who initially became famous for dating superstar singer Diamond Platinumz, is pregnant.
In several Instagram videos, she uploaded in the past week, the District Commissioner, Temeka, appeared heavily pregnant as she carried out her duties.
In one video where she was recorded dancing during a live gospel music event, her bulging tummy was visible in the white polka-dotted abaya she wore.

In another one where she was interacting with the electorate, Jokate draped a maroon scarf over her belly- a move many pregnant women subconsciously find themselves doing while walking about in public- in an attempt to prevent attention from her growing bun in the oven.
Three days ago, the gorgeous politician uploaded a video of herself in an oversized gold kitenge dress but even then, her growing belly was still discernable.
“Sifa na utukufu wote kwa Mungu wetu aliye hai (all praise and glory to our living God),” Jokate said as she posted photos of herself on October 21, 2022, as her followers came under the impression that she could have already given birth.

However, she is yet to officially announce that she was pregnant and neither confirmed nor denied that she had given birth.
Her relationship status also baffles Tanzanians as she has never introduced a boyfriend or husband to the public.
Nairobi News previously reported that Jokate and Diamond famously dated before they broke up.
At the time, Diamond regretted breaking up with her, causing her to respond to him with a stinging retort. She wondered why she had ever dated him to begin with and could not explain what made her accept him.

Following this breakup, Jokate went on to date Diamond’s music nemesis, Ali Kiba, for two years before they broke up, and he married his Kenyan sweetheart, Amina Khaleef (now divorced).
Since then, Jokate hasn’t gone public with a new relationship, and her social media is chock-full of updates regarding her work as a District Commissioner and the activities she carries out to empower the people she was appointed to serve.
